Abstract
474,120. Directive wireless signalling. LORENZ AKT.-GES., C. Jan. 12, 1937, No. 974. Convention date, Jan. 14, 1936. [Class 40 (v)] The reflectors R, of an overlapping - beam transmitter of the kind described in Specification 405,727 are alternately brought into action with the energized aerial E by applying a suitable voltage across the electrodes of a discharge device D, which is normally nonconductive. Several discharge devices may be inserted in each reflector, and wired up in parallel as shown in Fig. 4. The valves D are mounted in housings J of insulating material which are inserted inside tubular reflectors. The valves may be gas-filled diodes or triodes, and the reflectors may be of the quarter-wave or semi-dipole type. Specification 466,948, also is referred to.
