[Class 146 (ii)] A mounting for a map, chart, or the like comprises several similar panels hinged together along their longitudinal edges so as to fold over each other, two or more of the panels carrying separate strips which are substantially the same width as and secured at one or both ends to the associated panels, and which are folded transversely thereof to form identical leaves which register collaterally as they are turned over or as the strips are opened out, the strips bearing complementary portions of the map or chart, so that, as they are opened out, or as the leaves are turned over, the map is continued from one leaf to the next collateral leaf. The bellows-folded strips b are attached to the hinged panels a over the whole of their end portions d, or over a margin h, only, which may be folded under, or by only one end-portion or margin. The leaf portions carry identifying characters A, C, D. The panels a are approximately the same size as two of the leaves c, but may be twice as long, and carry two folded strips b, arranged end to end. Each panel may carry a strip b, which may be differently arranged, on each side. The strips may be secured by folded margins to the centre, instead of to the ends of the panels and a continuation of the map representation may be printed on the panels a. Each strip b may be folded to form any number of leaves, and any number of panels may be hinged together.
