Class 146(2) An atlas map, or plan is represented on strips A, D, B, E, C, arranged successively end to end, Fig. 2, to form sections which are folded concertina-fashion, alternate folds Y being bound together at G to make a series'of sub-sections T; each comprising two pages, the other alternate folds Z being located so that the pages P<SP>1</SP> at the ends of the sections extend beyond the other pages in the sections, so that the change from one section to the next is visually defined: The atlas is preferably formed from two identical maps or sheets, and the strips from one sheet are staggered relative to the strips of the other sheet so that a place at or near a side edge of one section is also represented at or near the centre of the adjoining section. Alternate pages of some of the sub-sections may be cut at S to enable the outer part of such pages to be unfolded into the plane of the other page in the same sub-section. The inner part of the cut page may be stuck down.
