473,278. Bearings. AKTIEBOLAGET NOMY. March 30, 1936, No. 9380. Convention date, April 2, 1935. [Class 12 (i)] In a tilting pad bearing in which the pads rotate, the pads 2 are formed with inclined front edges so that oil pockets are formed between adjacent pads which continue to hold oil when they enter the upper half of the bearing. The pads are carried in a cage formed of end members 4, and axial bars 5, the cage being secured to the shaft by the screw 6. Spring pressed pins 13 prevent the stationary ring 7 becoming too obliquely situated in the mounting 12.
