Abstract
471.442. Gloves. PEARCE, G. J. April 2, 1936, No. 9753. [Class 141] A one - piece glove trank comprises a central back panel A having four finger pieces 1a .. 4a, and two outer panels B, C, the panel B being provided with the complementary finger pieces 1b ... 3b, and the panel C with the complementary finger piece 4c, and with the complementary thumb pieces t<1>, t2. The trank is folded about the line F<1>, F2 and seamed, the seam commencing at S, and extending down as the edges x<1>, x<2> are brought together, the tongue portion y<1> being joined to the gap formed by the opening out of the slit y<2>, and the edges zl, z<2> being sewn together to complete the seam z. The glove is completed by means of a thumb quirk q, and piecettes and fourcheftes f, p, 'for the fingers. In a modification, two short complementary ledge portions may be formed at opposite sides of the trank to give extra width to the glove. In a further modification, the trank may be cut so that an opening is formed at the base of the seam in the palm of the glove which can be closed by means of a press-stud or other fastener.
