[Classes 75 (iii) and 75 (iv)] A vehicle or like lamp comprises a casing 35, a central parabolic trough-shaped reflector 43, two side reflectors 51 which may form parts of a parabolic trough at right angles to the central reflector, and a square or rectangular front glass or lens 41. It may be fitted with a point or elongated source of light, preferably an electric light bulb 48 with a rectilinear filament 47 disposed along the focal line of the reflector 43, with or without an auxiliary filament above and to one side of the main filament. The parabolic trough forming the side reflectors 51 may have its focal line passing through the image of the filament 47 in the reflector 43. Fig. 7 shows a half trough-shaped reflector 43 having its focal line passing through the centre of curvature of a hemispherical reflector 55, the top being fitted with a wall 62 which may have a reflecting lower surface. Fig. 10 shows the reflector 43 fitted over its upper half with a rearwardly facing reflector 64. The reflecting surface 43 may be stamped from sheet metal, the reflecting surfaces 51 may be stamped or die cast, and all the surfaces may be formed with interengaging lugs and recesses, the joints afterwards being soldered, brazed, or welded. The lamp casing 35 may be formed integrally with or secured to the mudguard 38 or any other part of a vehicle.
