Abstract

469,671. Electric discharge apparatus. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., CHENEY, H., and BRETT, J. G. Jan. 30, 1936, No. 2849. [Class 39 (i)] In discharge apparatus of the type in which two or more parallel tubes or one of more U-tubes with parallel limbs are enclosed in a cylindrical envelope, the inner tubes are held relatively to the envelope by spring clips separately engaging the inner tubes and the envelope and interacting to press each other into engagement therewith. As shown in Fig. 2, two spring strips 5 engage the inner tubes 2 and are threaded by spring strips 3, engaging the envelope 1. The strips 5 may be welded together at the centre points. A modification is shown in Fig. 1 in which the strips 3 and the strips 5 are made in the form of closed loops. A strip of metal 6 may be welded to the strips 3 and to one of the loops 5 to prevent relative displacement.
