[Class 8 (i)] The suction nozzle a, is hinged to the socket el which is in connection with the suction side of the cleaner by providing the back of the nozzle with a longitudinal ridge b of semicircular transverse crosssection. The socket e is provided with a saddle piece f which fits on the ridge b, screws h located in caps g pass through slots d in the ridge and are secured by internal nuts i. The screws may be provided with loading- springs j.
