468,901. Bottle openers. NEWELL MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd. June 30, 1936, No. 18072. Convention date, Feb. 24. [Class 125 (ii)] A cap remover for bottles &c. comprises a bar B bent to form a shank 10 and a cap engaging part 12, and a second bar C which is provided with a lip 2, 3. The shank of the bar B abuts in that of the bar C. The lip 23 acts as a fulcrum when removing the cap in one direction and the edge 14 bears on the cap when removing it in the other direction. A handle 25 may be provided for accommodating the bars, or they may be formed integrally by bending a single bar into the form of a handle. Alternatively the two bars may be welded together.
