Abstract

Mixtures of dyestuffs are produced by incorporating dyestuffs of the dibenzanthrone and/or isodibenzanthrone series with halogenated derivatives, prepared according to Specifications 423,450 and 431,654, of alkaline condensation products of 1-(Bzl-benzanthronylamino)-4- or 5- or 8-acylaminoanthraquinones (cf. Specification 339,396, [Class 2 (iii)]). Other dyestuffs may be added, and the mixtures may be produced in the dyeing liquor or printing paste. The dyeings and prints obtained with the mixtures dye full black shades, fast to light, washing, and boiling sodium carbonate solution. In examples, the dyestuff produced in example 1 of Specification 423,450 is mixed with (1) Indanthrene dark blue BOA with or without diethyldipyrazolanthrone, (violet-black or bluish black shades on cotton), (2) Indanthrene brilliant Violet RR (reddish-black), (3) tribromisodibenzanthrone (black), and (4) the dyestuff obtained by acting with bromine on dibenzanthrone in presence of chlorsulphonic acid (greenish-black).
