[Class 28 (i)] [Also in Groups XIII and XI] A pan 4 for fish and chip frying or for liquid heating or solid melting purposes is surrounded by an external chamber 6 around which the products of combustion are adapted to circulate by way of entrance'and egress openings 7, 8, the chamber being surmounted by a second chamber 9 adapted to supply hot air heated from the underlying chamber, for instance to cooked fish &c. in containers supported on racks disposed above the pan. Air enters the chamber 9 through an opening 12 and hot air passes out through a pipe 13.
