461,947. Hydro - mechanical transmission arrangements. STEYR-DAIMLERPUCH AKT.-GES. May 15, 1936, No. 13856. Convention date, May 27, 1935. [Class 69 (ii)] [Also in Groups XXIV and XXXI] Power transmission mechanism especially for vehicles comprises a mechanical change-speed gear 3 of the kind in which the gears resist disengagement when loaded, driven from an engine 1 through a turbo-transmitter 2 and through a reversing-gear 14 of the kind in which both forward and reversed drives involve frictional engaging means. In the reversing-gear 14 shown, forward drive is effected by engaging a friction clutch 11, and reversed drive by engaging a brake 10. When changing speed in the gearing 3, a control sleeve 9 of the gearing 14 is put into neutral mid position. The reversing-gear may be of the kind using two friction clutches alternatively. The transmitter 2 shown comprises a combined converter and coupling.
