Abstract
460,798. Railway vans. POLLAK, J. E. (Deutsche Kuhl-und Kraftmaschinen Ges.) Oct. 25, 1935, No. 29567. [Class 103 (iv)] [Also in Group XIII] A refrigerator van is equipped with independent refrigerating machines 37, 38, adapted to supply either or both of two evaporators 39, 40 disposed in end compartments connected by perforate air - circulating ducts 41, 42, having adjustable dampers 43. The vans are provided with adjustable partitions 45 to provide a central loading and unloading compartment isolated from the cold circulating air. Fruits &c. may be transported in cases 50, 51, the ends of which may be opened to permit circulation of air therethrough during transport and closed prior to the removal of the cases.
