[Class 100 (ii)] In a sheet printing-machine provided with an automatic or hand-operated control device for throwing the impression on or off, the control device is constructed of a pair of eccentrics or cams 1, 2 adapted to co-operate with'different arms of an operating lever 9. The eccentrics are adapted to be moved along keyways in an operating shaft 3 by means of a reversing device on a shaft 11 consisting of a roller 10 which is made to engage one of two inclined surfaces 13, 14 on a bush 4 carrying the cams 1, 2 at each half-rotation of the shaft 11, alternate half-rotations of the shaft 11 serving to throw the impression " on " or " off " at times under control of the cams 1, 2. The shaft 11 is rotated by gears 16, 15 operated by pawl-andratchet mechanism under the control of a hand-operated rod 30 or a rod 31 which is operated automatically under control of the sheets. The rod 30 operates a lever 20, pawl 22, and ratchet 18 fitted with eight teeth, and the rod 31 operates similarly a ratchet 19 having only four teeth. If the rod 31 is actuated when the impression has been thrown off by hand-manipulation, the pawl actuated by the rod 31 will make an idle stroke. A locking-device 27 which engages recesses 24 in a disc 23 arranged between the ratchets 18, 19 holds the mechanism in the correct position of adjustment.
