Abstract
460,175. Code telegraphy. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd. July 27, 1936, No. 20768. Convention date, July 27, 1935. [Class 40 (iii)] Receiving apparatus comprises means for converting signals of the type in which a dot is denoted by + +, a dash by- -, and a space by + -, all having the same time interval, into signals of the ordinary cable-code type distinguished by different time intervals. In the receiver shown, the dot and dash contacts DO, DA are connected to brushes on synchronously-driven commutators 1, 2 having short and long conducting segments, respectively, causing the operation of recorder 6 for a correspondingly short or long period. The commutator 2 may be omitted if the time interval between successive signal units is short enough. Specifications 267,180 and 294,715, [both in Class 40 (iii)], are referred to.
