Abstract

459,744. Toy railway tracks. VEREINIGTE SPIELWARENFABRIKEN A. FORTNER & J. HAFFNER'S NACHFOLGER GES., 15, Kobergerstrasse, Nuremberg, Germany. Jan. 23, 1936, No. 2172. Convention date, Feb. 15, 1935. [Class 132 (iii)] Adjacent toy railway track sections 1 &c. are detachably connected at a required inclination by teeth 8 and toothed indentations 9, and by rigid and spring interlocking members 6a and 6b supported by a flat spring 12. The rails 3 are positioned on ribs 2 on the track sections 1 and with the members 6a, 6b are connected to the track sections 1 by clamps 4. The rails 3 are preferably made of sheet metal and the track sections of pressed material such as artificial resin. Both ends of each track section 1 are provided with teeth 8 and toothed indentations 9 which are arranged so that a tooth at one end is in alignment with a toothed indentation at the other end. The teeth 8 and indentations 9 are preferably provided on the top and sides of the track sections and with inclined sides or the teeth may be provided in the sides only and be straight. A middle rail and spring contact members 7 are provided for electric railways. Various forms of interlocking members 6a and 6b are described.
