Abstract
458,325. Easels; tables. COLLER, H., The Old Hall, Bolton Mews, Notting Hill, London. Oct. 10, 1935, No. 27973. [Classes 52 (iii)] and 52 (v)] An easel convertible into a table comprises a central hollow pillar 3 in which slides vertically a movable support 9, 10 for a tiltable table top 1, which can be lowered to rest horizontally on the upper edge of the pillar and rendered rigid thereon by tightening the clamping means for the vertical supports. The table top is rotatable on a screw 30 passing through a bracket 29 and tightened by a nut 31, the bracket has arms 27, 28 pivoted in the bifurcated upper ends 23, 24 of the vertical supports and tightened by wing nuts 25, 26. The supports 9, 10 slide between vertical guides in the hollow pillar 3 and are clamped in any position by a cross-bar 12 drawn forward by a bolt 13 with an external handle 20 so as to press the supports against the guides 6, 7. Flexible packing strips are fitted between the table top and the bracket 29. A drawing board may be supported on the table by its batten 36 and secured by a turn-button 38.
