[Class 143] In an automatic weighing-machine, the supply hopper feeding - mechanism and the weighing mechanism are controlled by a pair of clutches of the rotatable-key type coupled - up and uncoupled by a rotatable hand-operated member which acts directly on the key of one clutch, and indirectly through a cam and cable, on the key of the other clutch. The clutch keys, of halfround form, are secured to arms d which are rotated to couple-up the clutches, by springs e. In the uncoupled position, the arms are retained by slidable stops i which may be removed to couple-up the clutches simultaneously, by manual rotation of a shaft g, the upper stop being actuated indirectly by a cam l, lever k and flexible sheathed cable j.
