Abstract

457,594. Drawing - - instruments. JAMBURA, J. W., 952, South 1st Street, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, U.S.A. May 21, 1936, No. 14408. [Class 97 (iii)] In an instrument for drawing and measuring angles comprising a number of arms 1, 2, 3, 4, pivoted together in pairs at 7, 8, 9, 10, two of the arms 1, 2, are extended beyond their pivotal connection 10, a protractor 20 is carried by the arm 1 concentric with the pivot 10, and a gauge bar 15 is slidably supported by the pivots 9, 10. The bar 15 has a central longitudinal line 19 and central longitudinal slots 18 to co-operate with the graduations on the protractor 20. The arm 1 is notched at 25 to accommodate an indicator 24 on the arm 2. 12 is a clamping nut. The instrument may be used as a T-square by folding it to bring the arm 2 underneath the arm 1 and the two arms 3, 4 into alignment adjacent the arm 1, the bar 15 then extending at right angles to the arm 1.
