[Class 38 (i)] [See also Group XXXVII] A switch specially suitable for attachment to vehicle dash boards has a plate 11 carrying fixed contacts 17 to which the cables 16 may be firmly attached, e.g. by soldering, the plate then being secured to the remainder of the switch which forms a coherent whole already in position on the dashboard, and the fixed contacts 17 then being in a position to be engaged by the movable contacts 12 which as shown may be key-operated. The plate 11 is secured in position by bent-over lugs 15, the contacts 17 passing up through holes in another plate 10 secured to the main part of the switch.
