457,515. Bracelets ; attaching watches to the wrist. JARVIS, F., 20, Jewin Street, London. July 19, 1935, No. 20590. [Class 43] An adjustable band for wrist watches consists of a plate 1 having at one end a slot 2 to which a strap 8 is hinged, one or more holes 6, 7, acting as sockets for press fasteners 9 carried on the strap 8, and, at the other end, a further slot 3, through which a strap 10 is passed and adjustably secured, as by the insertion of a hook 11 on its end into one of two or more slots or holes 4, 5, or frictionally, by threading it through these slots 4, 5, which are then spaced further apart, or by threading it under arches 15, Fig. 9 (not shown) formed on the plate. The plate is curved to fit the wrist, and may have flanges 17 upstanding from its convex face. The wrist band is placed on the wrist fully expanded, and the plate 1 is then hinged about the slot 2, towards the strap 8, and secured by the fasteners 9, entering the holes 6, 7.
