456,917. Door stops and holders. COPE, J. C., 14, Kensington Road, and GARDNER, S., 233, Rye Bank Road, both in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester. June 21, 1935, No. 17816. [Class 65 (i)] A stop and holder for doors and gates comprises a fixed ramp member 5 over which the door 9 rides, being lifted slightly in its own plane in passing, and a stop member 7. The device may be fixed in the ground, as shown, to engage with a wear plate 10 on the bottom of the door, or may be fixed in an inverted position on the door to engage a fixed abutment ; in the former case it may be made double to engage two doors swinging on the same post back to back. According to the Provisional Specification, the surface of the ramp may be made slightly resilient.
