Abstract
456,617. Gearing for stopping machinery. OPTICOLOR AKT.-GES., Glarus, Switzerland. Nov. 12, 1935, Nos. 31324 and 31325. Convention dates, Nov. 13, 1934 and March 21, 1935. [Class 80 (ii)] [See also Groups XX and VIII] The apertures corresponding to the three basic colours in copying lenticular colour films are adjusted according to the perforations of a controlling strip by means of shutters 23, 23b operated by racks 24, 24b from a gear-wheel 25. The gear-wheel is coupled by a lever 28 with an arm 29 driven by a continuously rotating shaft 30 through a friction coupling. The arm 29 is normally held from rotation by a pawl 31 engaging a fixed toothed wheel 33, the opposite end of the pawl carrying a roller 31 resting in recesses in discs 32. When the circuits of the electromagnets 34 are closed by the perforations in the controlling strip, the discs are rotated, lifting the roller 31 out of the recesses and thereby freeing the arm 29 which rotates until the roller 31 drops back into a fresh set of registering recesses.
