Abstract
455,371. Colour kinematography. SZEMZO, J., 234, Kurfurstendamm, Berlin. Jan. 16, 1935, No. 1478. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Nov. 18, 1935]. [Class 97 (i)] Colour record images are projected singly, from a film having colour record images successively arranged thereon, in such manner that changes of colour value and of image phase do not occur simultaneously. The Figure shows a film in which a pair of red images R having consecutive image phases I, II is followed by a pair of green images G having consecutive image phases II, III, and by a pair of blue images B having consecutive image phases III, IV, &c. Modifications are described in which the images are in groups of three of the same colour and of different image phases, and in groups of four of the same colour and of different image phases, the last image of each group and the first of the next being of the same image phase. Projection of the film shown must be at twice the normal rate of feed to permit the presentation of the image phases at normal rate ; the modifications described permit the rate of feed to be less than double. The positive film may be prepared from negatives exposed to produce records of each colour which are of the same image phase, suitable printing apparatus being used. The filters used in projection may be carried by the film or may be separate and be changed appropriately in association with the feed movements,
