Abstract
454,357. Filters for colour photography. OPTICOLOR AKT.-GES., Glarus, Switzerland. March 18, 1936, No. 8145. Convention date, March 19, 1935. [Class 98 (ii)] To avoid the formation of colour fringes on distant objects when photographing on lenticular films, the colour filter is subdivided into zones in two directions so that zones of all the colours are located adjacent to one another in each direction. For a three colour filter for use with films having spherical lenticles, an arrangement of three lines and three columns is used, each line and column having a red, a green, and a blue zone as shown in Fig. 6. In the case of films with cylindrical lenticles the arrangement shown in Fig. 1 is used. The filter 2 consists of five bands coloured blue, green, red, blue, green in the usual manner. In front of one third of this filter pairs of parallel reflectors 4, 4<1>, 5, 5<1>, 6, 61 are arranged so that light from the object which would normally fall on the bands g, r, b falls in this third of the area on the bands b<1>, g, r. A similar system displacing the light in the reverse direction covers another third of the filter. Arrangements in which the filter. is associated with a greater number of sets of reflectors are also described.
