Abstract
357,118. Colour kinematography. MÍBIUS, W., 11, Fliess-Strasse, NOACK, F., 3, Strohmarkt, and LUCAS, G., 10, Ottokarplatz, all in K÷nigsberg Pr, Germany. March 14, 1930, No. 8348. Convention date, March 19, 1929. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 97 (i).] A three-colour kinematograph process is characterized in that one red-screened and one greenscreened image are taken simultaneously, then one blue-screened image, and finally one red-screened and one blue-screened image. The red images and the green images may be taken either on a double-width film, as shown in the Figure, or on two singlewidth films side by side, the sprockets having two or four rows of teeth accordingly. The blue image may be taken either on the red rank or the green rank, a corresponding blank in the other rank being produced during copying, or this section may be covered during projection. A stationary colour filter may be employed for the one-colour rank, and a rotating disc filter for the two-colour rank. A rotating filter with two coloured and one opaque sector may also be used for the onecolour rank. On the film employed for projection the colour image may be arranged in the same or different relative positions to those in which they were taken. Other groups of colours, such as orange, bluish-green, and violet, may be employed.
