455,135. Life-buoys. SAUL, A. M. K., 56, Kenilworth Court, Putney, London, and VAUGHAN, F. L., Southfield Park, Harrow, Middlesex. Jan. 14, 1935, No. 1202. [Class 77] A ring life-buoy is made of non-metallic flexible waterproof material, e.g. rubbermaterial, and comprises a plurality of non- communicating fluid-tight compartments 13 which are devoid of valves for reinflation. The compartments may contain soft buoyant material, e.g. kapok or granulated cork. The buoy comprises two annular parts 10, covered if necessary at their joints by sealing strips, and provided with transverse webs 12 which are united to form the compartments 13. There may be tongue-and-groove connections 17, 18 between the webs or between the annular parts. An annular partition may be provided between the two annular parts. The rubber may be coloured differently in different parts of the buoy.
