Abstract
454,736. Cleaning poultry cages &c. GRECH, V. O., Harveys, Ardleigh, Colchester. July 16, 1935, No. 20267. [Class 5 (ii)] Apparatus for removing the droppings from the platforms or trays of battery or other poultry cages comprises a container or barrow A carrying obliquely a scraper arm C having resiliently mounted scrapers adapted, as the container is moved, to remove the droppings and cause them to fall into the container. The scraper arm C carries a baffle G for directing the droppings. The scraper arm is pivoted in alternative positions for removing the droppings from platforms E<1>, E<2> of different heights, or the container may have a number of scraper arms. The barrow A runs on wheels A<1> and is provided with rollers H to ensure correct alignment with the platforms.
