[Class 18] [See also Group XVIII] Two tongues, which engage with the ends of an article, packet, or the like, are cut, in adjacent positions, from the lid of a display box. The lid of the box is cut to produce a forked tongue 4, the material between the limbs forming another tongue 5. By means of the tongues, a packet 2 is attached to the lid so that it will be displayed on opening, and returned to its normal position in the box on closing, the lid. Fig. 4 shows various positions 4, 4<1>, 5, of the tongues for securing the packet (the flap 5 may be passed between the bottom of the rear of the wrapper and the back of the packet). Preferably the forked tongue, which may have two separate limbs, is the upper, but may be the lower one, or the tongues may engage the sides of the packet. The tongues may be scored if desired. When the lid is to remain permanently open, the tongues may be arranged in any position. More than one packet may be so supported. The lid may be supported in the open position by a cord or cords, or struts or stays at the back or front; e.g. a piece of cardboard provided with struts 11 may be stapled to the back of the box, the struts being folded over the lid for transport, or bent along score lines 13 into the operative position, and retained there by interengaging notches 14, provided at their tips.
