Abstract

454,113. Paper &c. carrier bags &c. LAMSON PARAGON SUPPLY CO., Ltd., and BARRETT, J. H., Paragon Works, Canning Town, London. July 13, 1935, No. 20099. [Classes 94 (ii) and 133] Closure means combined with carrying means for paper &c. bags, &c., particularly for coal &c., comprises hand holds 14, 37 formed in the opposite reinforced sides and a tongue &c. 16, 26 or 36, having a portion which is passed through the registering hand holds 14, 37, so as substantially to mask the upper edges thereof, and is then held in a readily detachable position by being turned upwardly into a slot or beneath a projection 17, 27 or 38 formed by slitting &c. one side of the bag. In a further modification, Fig. 6, tongues 30 are cut leaving hand holds 29, and the tongues 30 are then bent, one under a projection 31 to lie internally of the bag, and the other passed through the registering hand holds 29 and then under the projection 32 lying externally of the bag.
