453,368. Drawing - instruments. LEHMANN, H., 38, Belsize Park, Hampstead, London. May 2,1935, No. 13151. [Class 97 (iii)] A ruler 1 has a longitudinal groove 2 on one side and a transverse bar or bars, e.g. 3-9, on the reverse side, the bars being of the same width as the groove so that a pair of such rulers may be used in conjunction to draw a series of parallel lines.' The bars 3-9, may be at a variety of different angles to the slot 2. In a modification the rulers have longitudinal bars and transverse slots. Each ruler is provided at one end with prongs 13 and at the other with sockets 12 so that rulers may be secured end to end. To enable a ruler to be used. for describing circles, a series of holes 11 through which a pencil point may be passed are provided along the slot 2 and a point or dome 10 at one end of the ruler may be pressed into contact with the paper to form a pivot by placing a thumb in a recess 10<1> on the opposite side of the ruler. The rulers are preferably manufactured from moulded plastic material.
