Abstract
453,291. Sanitary pails. DUTFIELD, A. E., The Cottage, Fayland Avenue, Streatham Park, and RAWLINGS, E. J., 2, St. Simon's Avenue, Putney, both in London. May 9, 1935, Nos. 13691 and 14712. [Class 26] A disinfectant container 3, Fig. 5, for use with bin-lids has an outlet at its base normally closed by a conical spreader 7 and a stem 6 normally thrust upwardly by a spring 10 and extending above the lid, the arrangement being such that depression of the stem opens the outlet. The spring is housed between a hood 11 and a nut 5 and the stem is made hollow and has a removable cap 8, apertures 6<1> and a cone 12 to permit filling of the container. A handle 9 for rotating the spreader is provided. In another form, Fig. 6, the stem is composed of two rods 6a, 6b connected by a clutch 14, a handle 8<1> being provided to depress the spreader against the action of a spring 10. The container is closed by a cover 13. In another form, Fig. 7, the stem is in one piece and the spring is provided between the cover 13 and the handle 8<1>. Stirrers 16<1> are provided on the stem.
