[Class 38 (iv)] [See also Group XI] Temperature.-A central heating hot water circulation system comprises an electric flow heater 4 connected in parallel with an electrically heated hot water accumulator 7. Thermostats 10 and 11 are provided in the heaters 4 and 7 which operate through a Wheatstone bridge system 17, a relay 24 controlling the heaters 9a, 9b, and 9c of the accumulator. Any desired difference of temperature between the heater 4 and accumulator 7 may thus be maintained. A valve 8 in the inlet of the accumulator closes, preferably automatically whenever the accumulator heaters are absorbing current. Thermostats 18a, 18b, 18c and 18d, connected in series, are provided in the rooms heated by the system so that when the temperatures in the rooms are all above a certain level a switch 20 is operated to cut off the heating current. These thermostats control separate circuits in which are electromagnetically controlled valves for the hot water radiators. Thermostats 15, 36a, 36b and 36c serve to switch on the groups 5a, 5b and 5c of the heating elements progressively as the temperature falls. These thermostats may be arranged in parts of the system other than the heater 4.
