Abstract

451,094. Inductance measurements. CAMPBELL, A., Culmora, Girton Road, Cambridge. March 25, 1936, No. 8924. [Class 37] Self-inductance is measured by connecting one terminal of a source of steady alternating-current A to the primary circuit of an inductometer and to one end of a parallel arrangement containing the secondary circuit with a measuring instrument and the unknown self-inductance L, the other supply terminal being connected to the opposite end of these parallel circuits. The inductometer comprises coils B1, B2, and an auxiliary zero-setting mutual inductance may be associated with it. Any A.C. meter may be used at H, those mentioned being a dynamometer type, a thermal converter plus galvanometer, or a rectifier and continuous-currentmeter. Specification 289,995, [Class 37], is referred to.
