449,846. Separating lubricant from fluids. STOKES MACHINE CO., F. J., Tabor Road, Philadelphia, U.S.A. Aug. 2, 1935, No. 21952. Convention date, Aug. 7, 1934. [Class 12 (iii)] Lubricating-oil for a rotary gas pump is pumped from the sump 41 through the parts to be lubricated and then collected in the air outlet space 17. It is then continuously drained from there through pipes 83, 88 to a centrifugal separator to remove water, and then returned to the sump. In a modification, the oil is also passed through a heated chamber to remove volatile impurities. Specification 440,701, [Group XXVI], is referred to.
