Abstract

446,312. Folding beds. GLADTKE, H., 102, Hajarkon Street, Tel-Aviv, Palestine. May 9, 1935, No. 13631. [Class 52 (ii)] A collapsable bedstead or stretcher comprises a collapsable tubular frame having raised parts at the head and foot, and a fabric sheet attached to the side bars of the frame by means of hems extending along the middle part of its length, the ends of the sheet being attached to the raised ends of the frame. The frame consists of tubes 1, Fig. 2 the abutting parts being provided with spigots 7, 8 which fit within the tubes. At the joints 6 between the legs and the frame, the tubes are permanently secured together. The ends of the fabric sheet are hemmed, and the head and foot rails passed through the hems. The fabric is stretched by means of cords 4, Fig. 1, passed through eyelets 3 and around the end posts, The frame may be arranged so that two beds may be mounted one above the other.
