445,516. Combination locks. LARSEN, G. E., and HANSEN, F. C., Elsinore, Denmark. Sept. 18, 1935, No. 25883. Convention date, Sept. 19, 1934. [Class 44] [See also Group XXXI] A combination lock for use on a cycle comprises an axle 2 which carries a pulley 3 and which is adapted to be turned by a key. The axle carries a disc 27 having notches engaged by a number of spring- controlled holders 28. Other holders 28<1> carry arms 29 which are adapted to depress pins 30 engaging holes in the disc 27. In order to release the lock, the holders 28<1> only are depressed and the axle 2 is pushed in by the key against the spring 31 and then turned. A tooth 32 on the disc 27 is thus released from a recess 33 and slides along a recess 35. When the axle is rotated in the opposite direction the tooth re-enters the recess 33 and closes the lock.
