Abstract
<PICT:0445334/III/1> Hydrogen peroxide is fractionally condensed from admixture of its vapour with water vapour by contact with finely divided water in a column A containing filling bodies C, the vapours being preferably admitted at the lower part of the tower at E, the water sprayed from a nozzle D in counter-current thereto and the column being under vacuum. Uncondensed vapour flows out of the column at F and concentrated hydrogen peroxide at K. The quantity of condensing liquid is regulated according to the concentration of peroxide desired; dilute peroxide solutions may replace the water. A stabilizer for hydrogen peroxide may be added to the condensing liquid.
