Abstract

<PICT:0444925/III/1> Rubber latex is concentrated by reciprocating heated surfaces into the latex so that portions of the latex are warmed and exposed to the atmosphere for the evaporation of their aqueous content before being returned to the bulk. Coiled tubes 6, through which heating medium, e.g. hot water is circulated, may provide the heated surfaces, one end of the coil being pivoted to the latex receptacle 7 and the other connected by a link 5 to a crank or eccentric.
