Convention date, Sept. 30; 1933. [Class 64 (iii)] A heat-exchanger, more particularly adapted for the condensers and absorbers of rerefrigerating - apparatus, comprises a tubular coil having its limbs 10 alternately extending in two directions inclined to the horizontal to form two relatively inclined groups of parallel limbs, two sets of gills 11 being provided each set engaging with one group of parallel limbs only. This may be effected by bending the tube so that the two groups of limbs lie in separate planes. Alternatively the limbs may be in one plane and the gills may be stamped out with projecting tongues through which the tubes of one group pass, the gill being thus held away from the other group of limbs.
