Abstract

444,469. Making tubes &c. KRETSCHMER, A., 7, Dannhausergasse, Vienna. Dec. 14, 1935, No. 34771. Convention date, April 17. [Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iv)] In producing tubes by bending between rolls, the strip is subjected to a maximum pressure at the centre which decreases towards the edges. The strip is bent to the profiles, Figs. 3a-3d, between rolls which rotate at the same peripheral velocity at the bottom of the pass. The space between the rolls increases towards the edges of the pass.
