Abstract
444,425. Stays. SAWARD BROS., Ltd., and SAWARD, F. J., Kimber Road, Garratt Lane, Wandsworth, London. Jan. 1, 1935, No. 97. [Class 65 (i)] [See also Group XXXII] A stay 3 for the handle 17 of a baby-carriage or the like is pivoted to the frame at 4 and has at its other end a hole to engage a stud 9 on the handle and a pivoted locking plate 1 with a slot 6 having a centre portion large enough to pass over the end of the stud 9 and end portions which may then be moved to engage a groove in the stud under its head to prevent detachment of the stay from the stud. The locking plate may be springy so as to produce friction against the underside of the head of the stud to hold it in its locking position. The handle 17 may be removed and attached at the other end of the carriage, the same stays serving to hold it in this position.
