[Class 39 (iii)] An electric heater comprises a resistance heating element 10 surrounded by a perforated member 11 made of porous absorbent material. The member 11 mav itself be contained in a perforated casing 12. The heater may be provided with a protective cage 16. The member 11 may be formed of asbestos, cork, clay, or porcelain. Thermostatic controls for the element 10 may be provided.
