Abstract

440,685. Automatic exchange switches. BRANDER, B. J., 10, Dannemoragatan, Stockholm. Jan. 7,1935, No. 536. [Class 40 (iv)] A flat double-sided multiple bank comprises a series of metal strips 69-72 supported between insulating plates 62 and having lugs 66 which project through holes in the plates to form the terminals. The plates 62 rest on pegs 63 fixed on lateral bars 61 and engaging slots 64 in the plates. The upper half of the rack accommodates line finders and the lower half final selectors, consequently the strips 69, 70 which provide the line terminals extend from top to bottom of the rack, while separate strips 71, 72 in the upper and lower halves of the rack provide the test terminals for the line finders and final selectors. An additional group test terminal is provided for the line finders. In order that the three terminals associated with each line may lie in the same vertical line, the lugs 66 on the two outer of the three adjacent strips are bent in opposite directions as indicated in Figs. 6, 9. Connections are made to the strips by means of soldering tags 73-76. The switches on one side of the bank are inverted with respect to those on the other side, and means are provided for reversing the connections to their upper and lower wipers.
