Automatic exchange switchboards.-In an automatic exchange, the racks C for the connectors assigned to a group of subscribers are disposed substantially at right angles to the racks B on which the line switches are mounted. Two lines of line switch racks may be arranged parallel to each other with a passage between, above which is a duct D for jumper connections and the cables M from the main frame. The line switches b are mounted in vertical columns, the incoming connections being at the top and the multiple connections at the bottom of the columns.
