In a method of constructing terminal banks, sets of parallel bare wires L, Fig. 1, embedded in inclined insulating plates J separated by alternate long and short spaces K, K<1>, are first bent as shown in Fig. 2 and then folded about axes in the centres of the spaces K, K<1>, in directions parallel to the inclined edges of the plates J so that adjacent plates overlap and form the structure shown in Fig. 3. At one side the portions of wire corresponding to the spaces K<1> are bent into small loops O which constitute the bank terminals, whilst on the other side larger loops O<1> may be used for multipling connections, the extra wire corresponding to the larger spaces K affording flexibility in mounting the banks. The parts of the structure where adjacent plates J overlap may be stiffened by iron plates P secured by rivets and provided with end pieces Z for attachment to the switch racks.
