[Class 132 (iii)] A toy gun or pistol of the type for discharging elastic bands as projectiles has a rotary member 10 having a plurality of arms 11 over each of which is stretched an elastic band 19 and the rotation of the member 10 is controlled by a spring-controlled trigger 14 having two lugs 17 and 18, one of which is always in the path of the arms 11, the parts being so disposed that only one of the bands is discharged each time the trigger is pulled. The body of the gun is formed of a stock or butt 5 and a block 6 carrying a dummy barrel 7 attached by two side plates to which they are screwed supporting the mechanism, the plates if desired being formed with projections to simulate a revolving cylinder. The barrel may have, as shown, a groove 20 at the end to take the bands or an upwardly or downwardly projecting pin for the purpose.
