[Class 52 (v)] A collapsable display stand for plaques, crockery, and similar articles is made of cardboard, strawboard, millboard, or similar material and comprises a back portion 1, Fig. 2, from which a shelf 2 projects at right angles. The shelf 2 is provided with a number of parallel slots, which may be of segmental form, to receive the lower edges of the plaques &c. 4, and may be formed by cutting the back portion 1 along three sides of a rectangle and securing the material on the fourth side and bending down the flap thus formed. The upper edges of the plaques &c. 4, may be gripped in notches cut in the back portion 1, and extending upwards from the gap 5 formed by bending down the shelf 2. Alternatively the plaques &c. 4, Fig. 4, may be held by two slotted shelves 2, 2a bent respectively downwards and upwards from the back 1. Two rows of plaques &c. 4, Fig. 6, may be supported by three shelves 2, 2<a>, 2<b> the middle shelf 2b having twice as many slots as the shelves 2, 2<a> and supporting the upper edges of the lower row of plaques &c., and the lower edges of the upper row. If the shelf 2b is bent downwards and the shelf 2<a> upwards from the back 1, slots 8 may be cut in the back 1 below shelf 2b to accommodate the upper edges of the lower row of plaques &c. The slots in the shelves may be oblique or parallel to the edges of the shelves. One or more hinged struts may be provided for supporting the stand in erected position.
