This invention relates to package display devices and has for its object to provide a display of the character specified, simple in construction. attractive in appearance and collapsible for packing and shipment. To these ends and others which will appear later herein, my improved device consists of a frame for holding and displaying articles of merchandise. The frame is so constructed that it can rock from side to side. its merchandise supporting parts being situated Well below its center of gravity, this being illustrated in the drawing accompanying this specification, wherein Figure 1 is a perspective view of the device in erected condition. Fig. 2 is a vertical section, in partly collapsed condition, of what is shown in Fig. 1 but on an enlarged scale. My improved device is preferably made from stout cardboard and preferably formed integral. It comprises front and back members 2 and 3 articulated along their upper edges at 4. As illustrated, the device comprises two approximately circular discs. each having an opening therethrough for the reception of a package, as 5, or other piece of merchandise to be displayed. Vhile the device is shown as essentially circular, that character of profile may be present at the 39 lower portion 2 only whereby a curved base is provided on which the device may rock on any flat support such as a shelf or store counter. The openings through members 2 and 3 preferably comprise lower edges or shelves 6, 7 respectively, on which a package 5 or the like may be supported, the lower portions of members 2 and 3 being separated for stability. Preferably means are provided for thus separating and, when in display position.

For instance, to edge 6 is hinged table member 8 and edge 7 of member 3, is provided with means such as car 9 for interlocking with the rear portion 10 of table 8 as by slot 11. By these means, when the device is erected as shown in Fig. 1 the lower edges of members 2 and 3 are held apart and provide two portions on which the device stands or rocks. The other portions of the openings 12, 13 of members 2 and 3 respectively may be of any desired profile but must be large enough to receive the piece of merchandise to be displayed.

It will be seen that the frame work is so constructed that the table for supporting the article of merchandise to be displayed is well below the center of gravity, and the device is intended to be used in connection with articles of such size and construction that their center of gravity will be below the center of the curve of the rocker formed by the curved edges of the side members 2.

I claim:

A package display device including in com bination front and back members of similar shape articulated along their upper edges, there being an opening through each of said members for the reception and support of a package or the like, the lower edges of said members being curved for affording surfaces upon which the device is adapted to rock from side to side When in use. the lower edges of the openings being located well below the center of curvature of their lower rocker edges, a member connecting said edges to form a package support and means for separating the lower edges of said members.
