[Classes 17 (ii) and 141] A flexible extension 11 formed or arranged on one of the overlapping parts of a shoe 5, glove, shirt cuff, trousers or other article of wearing apparel is provided with a tongue 12 on its inner surface adapted to be interlocked in an external pocket 8 formed by securing one side and the two ends of a strip 6 upon the other of the parts, to close the opening between the parts. A tab may be attached to the tongue 12 so as to project from the pocket 8 in the closed position to facilitate manipulation of the fastening.
